Finding Community with Armand Morin and the Big Seminar

by Mynders

Our story begins in the Fall of 2009. We were drifting!

Sure, BusinessBuildingShortcuts.com was helping others put into place the building blocks…but we had little niche definition, no strong online peer relationships, and we were taking on every course we could.

November, 2009…It Begins

In need of a change, we attended our first “Big Seminar”… a decision which changed our online reality.

Never before had we felt so nurtured by a group of fellow marketers, all of whom seemed to talk the same language and approach their business in a similar manner. Sure, the Event was fabulous. Great content, networking with people with whom we’ve formed lasting relationships, Las Vegas world class entertainment, provided meals, etc.

{Mynders} I remember reflecting with Deb afterwards that it really didn’t matter who the speakers were because the Event was a unique infrastructure onto itself.

After the Event…Possibilities Emerge

As we said, our online life had changed forever…and we wanted more. We chose to take advantage of Armand’s (AM2) monthly Gold Membership program, which was the step we needed to take to take our business to the next level.

You see, Membership gave us access to…
-every product he’s ever created to build an online business;
-weekly calls to learn what to do next
-quarterly live workshops  to learn new skills and to build relationships
-a peer group of several hundred people with success building their business…and who are willing to answer questions at conferences or the private forum
-and tons more

Our Success Builds…Time To Share

After completing AM2′s famous “100 point List” in nearly record time, one of our biggest joys from the AM2 community is when we started to play it forward.  It was gratifying to have our rapid progress reflected back to us, as we  watched the 10 people we brought to ”Armand Live”  last March experience the joy of kinship and practical content.

Also, in the Spring, our internet friend, Cathy Demers, looking to be part of  community herself, joined with us in the Gold program. The resulting expansion for all of us, with our biweekly mastermind calls and resulting project together is exactly what I’ve been talking about.

The real test of a Community is in the long-term relationshipsand the learning. At the quarterly events, we reconnect with our new friends, and we’ve participated in programs offered by our new mentors and peers. But most noteworthy are the 4 joint venture projects we’ve created to date with fellow AM2-ers.

On the Horizon…

For the last 6 months, we have been participating in an AM2 contest called “Better Your Best”. Ourselves and several other participants have been going through a rigorous process of recording and reporting our business building results…all leading to the Saturday night “Finals”,  live on stage at the Big Seminar.

And, as soon as we meet our ’next step’  income level, we will become part of the coveted Platinum Group, very much a peer group  in which Armand and the rest of the Platinums meet 3x/year to critique each others’ businesses. Million $ launches, such as “Wish List Member” Membership plug in for WordPress, have emerged from these sessions.
